I saw that douchey kissy face at Savant in the beginning and Harley telling Digger to 'leave him alone' and I'm sorry (but I'm not) my mind instantly went "Yup". So Boomerang and Savant survive, Savant isn't a coward, I freaking hate that he gets called that in the synapsis I found online, and Boomerang is totally a bad guy and has a lot of blood on his hands, but even bad guys need romantic relationships!
This is based on the movie depictions but absolutely imagine the comic versions if that is your preference, if something bothers you please leave helpful criticism, I always wanna grow and do better. Thanks!ALSO sorry I messed up and forgot to double check anyone who had bookmarked, apologies, I caught two and gifted them the story since I figured out how to put it all undr one chapter!

Andrew "Grim" Harkness was one of the original members of Task Force X, along with his brother George "Digger" Harkness. After his time in the task force he tried to stay out of prison until he was arrested for armed robbery, 5 years into his sentence he was once again inducted into Task Force X. He knew how it worked; bomb in the neck, you go off mission you die, the mission is successful and you get ten years off of your sentence.
What Grim didn't expect to see three familiar faces when he joined the new team for the task force. Three of the Original members of Task Force X or "The Suicide Squad" were sitting on the helicopter waiting for take off, his brother, Harley Quinn, and the one the only Rick Flag.
