Summary
Since the time of the first dawn, Castus Kremnos and Okhema have been at odds. But just as even the tallest mountain will be eroded, so will the reason for such animosity be lost to time. Now, war has risen once more between the two city states.
Eurypon, King of the Kremnoans, seeks to deliver his people back to their old glory by any means necessary. His son, Prince Mydeimos, finds himself torn between his duty as his father’s heir and the desire to pull his people away from their blood soaked destiny.
On the other side of the war, the Nameless have broken their pact of neutrality to assist their Okheman friends. Stelle, a young warrior of unknown past and power, finds herself captured by the kremnoans during a campaign. In the midst of a ruined fortress, she meets Mydei and his companions and remembers that war is not the only path.
Can these two souls learn to set aside their differences and establish a mutual trust strong enough to end an eon of war. Or was their story doomed to fail from the first page. Only the Muses know the answer.

“Believe wh—” He lets out a startled sound as Cicero grips him by the shoulders, staring deeply into his eyes. “The prince—the prince he’s—he’s here!”
Phainon blinks. “Huh?”
“The crown prince of Castrum Kremnos? Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo, Conqueror of—whatever!” He flails his hands around like a mad man. “He’s in the special lounge for esteemed guests right now and—ugh, Phainon, please take my place!”
“What?” Phainon gapes.
Struggling to keep up with piling funds and a sick mother, Phainon — a farmer’s son — seeks an education and becomes an apothecary in a famed brothel house. Tending to the wheat fields, taking care of the escorts, and serving drinks because he might as well! So far, his life has been completely normal.
That is, until the Crown Prince of Castrum Kremnos mistakes him for a courtesan.
(Alternatively, a newly debuted Mydeimos is dragged down to a brothel house to cause a scandal and scare off potential brides. He ends up entering into a fake courting with a bewitching courtesan.)

Only the robust body of an 𝘌𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 could bear it. Like him. L̶i̶k̶e ̶C̶y̶r̶e̶n̶e.
Now, all they knew of was his existence and his role in saving them from their fate. He has truly become nothing more than a legend who only belonged to a storybook now.
There was nothing left of 𝘗𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘯 now. And the only one who knew of 𝘒𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘢 was no longer by his side. So, clearly, the only thing he could do now was yearn for another miracle and search for the traces - traces he will never find - of that little pink-haired girl who loved and 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 and 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙. Perdikkas comes into view, stepping closer to blink down at Phainon and Mydei on the ground. “You’re all here?”
Ptolemy scoffs, kicking lightly at the dirt. “Guess who has the extraordinary pleasure of being assigned the babysitting duty to the dumbass trio over here?” He rolls his eyes with a sharp sigh. “Not Peucesta, clearly. Lucky bastard.”
“Don’t lump me in with them,” Hephaestion protests. Ridiculous. Everyone knows who instigates the fights just as often as Phainon and Mydei.
“We don’t need babysitting,” Phainon says at the same time, words muffled as Mydei’s hand smashes his head into the ground, resuming their fight now that Ptolemy is distracted. Phainon almost bites down on the dirt by accident.

It's immature. It's satisfying.
When Phainon kicks him in the stomach to knock him back, he returns the favor. As the other man’s feet readjust to the floor, he spins his sword and hits squarely towards his face with the hilt. The prince's groan is music to his ears. Phainon watches as Mydeimos touches his nose, his hand staining crimson.
Yet, his eyes gradually widen when, instead of cursing, a grin spreads across Mydeimos’ face. Phainon follows those bloody fingers reaching to tempting lips, showing a tongue that tastes them until they are clean.
Fuck. If that’s not the most erotic thing Phainon has witnessed.
“Not bad…” Mydeimos mutters, “... Deliverer.”
In which Phainon sails to confront the captain of The Ruler, Mydeimos the undying, to find out about Nikador's treasure whereabouts. What he gains from their encounters ends up being better than any penny.

As the years pass in exile, he finds himself plagued by knowledge that comes from the same maybe-past or maybe-future that wasn’t quite Mydei’s and yet was.
