    She clenched her fist, and Donatello had a moment to realize that he’d wasted his last breath. A useless plea to someone who couldn’t hear, begging for a shred of acknowledgment. For mercy. And when his air was used up, a different kind of scream built in his throat, but this one wouldn't get the chance to escape.
    Donatello could pinpoint the exact moment his vocal cords were torn from his throat. The same moment the rest of him was torn apart. Cell ripped from cell, molecule from molecule, and the turtle felt every single sever, rend, and split of his flesh. Bone, sinew, nerves, all ripped apart in one…painful… instant.

    And there was nothing…

    Raph took a step closer and he felt his heart stop for a moment. It was another turtle, like them. They were sleeping and shivering, rain dripping down his forehead. "Dad?" He asked, concerned. "Are they okay?"

    So no, Yoshi was far from being unfamiliar with death.

    The thing is, it didn’t matter one bit, because in his mind death had nothing to do with his son.

    Leo honestly thought he would die in the prison dimension. He didn't expect Mikey to be able to open a portal. He didn't expect Raph to reach out and grab him. He didn't expect Donnie go in for kill on Kranng Prime, reaching out from behind him.

    Though maybe he should've expected it. Though what he definitely didn't expect was for his own Ninpo to flip out. (Which was not in anyway connected to him. No siree, nope, not at all.)

    He definitely, DEFINITLY, did not expect to be thrown into another dimension. To lose two feet in height. And for all of his memories to be jumbled up and made practically useless. Whoopee...what a...great start to the day. Now he just needed to remember where Mikey and Raph went...

His voice rumbled from the patch circling his waist and from the splotchy sensation swirling atop his tongue and from the streak stretching across his plastron. “You almost look just like me, Pest, only a touch too strong. I wonder how long it will take for the red to drain out as the rest of you has.”

    Kraang’s armor plates veered closer, and Leo got to see firsthand in the reflection as his crescents were smothered underneath a pair of wriggling pink half-moons. They burbled on his face.

    “Much better. What do you say, Pest?”

    His mouth was stuck shut the first few times he opened it, but eventually he managed to swallow and rasp out, “Th – Tha-a-ank youuu.”

    “Such a good Pest,” Kraang said, and his heart soared, because maybe it was time to play again, and maybe this time he could be even better, better enough to finally get that reward, until – “But not good enough.”

    or, Leo is in the Prison Dimension for a while. It messes with him. 5 times Leo felt trapped +1 time he was exactly where he wanted to be.
