Summary
In Lenora Hills, California, the Byers family (now including Eleven) is attempting to settle in to a new life free of eldritch abominations and governmental overreach. Key word, *attempting*, because when two of you are in love with the same oblivious boy and also deeply traumatized by your past experiences, settling is... difficult. At least they have each other.
In Hawkins, Indiana, the Party is mourning the loss of two of its members, and also attempting to have an ok time in high school. It's a weird line to toe. Everyone's a little shaken, but it's the Party. Fighting weird shit is what they *do*. They might even, if they try, find a way to bridge the gap between what they have and what they've lost.

- DURING AND POST SEASON 4 VOLUME 2 -
That was when he saw them.
The two figures were folded over each other on the ground, a ring of dark shapes crumpled and curled around them. Webbed, membranous wings fluttered lifelessly in the wind, lifting at odd angles like plastic bags on the interstate.
But Steve could barely see them.
His ears rang, his vision reduced to a greyish tunnel as he recognised the wooly texture of Dustin’s ghillie suit.
No.
Steve’s feet tripped beneath him as he staggered down the hill, moving towards them.
No hero moves, his thoughts washed through his mind in a seasick, rolling fashion. He could already see the dark wash of blood, soaking the ground like ink around them, as he bolted forward.
I said no hero moves.

Steve Harrington, ex-lifeguard and babysitter extraordinaire, happens to be blessed with knowledge of first aid. Eddie is the recipient of this aid, and as he recovers he must learn to live with the fact that he owes his life to a prom-king with a 12 step haircare routine. This would be easier if he didn’t find said prom king so uncomfortably attractive.
And if the world would stop ending for five minutes.

Robin’s caught up on the fact that they’ll all be here for another year. As much as she loves Steve, she was worried it would just be the two of them left in Hawkins while everybody else moved on. Robin had assumed that Chrissy would go off to college somewhere out of state like Nancy. And Robin had imagined that Eddie would follow her. He and Chrissy had been inseparable since they’d woken up in the hospital; Robin can’t imagine they’d do well with too much distance. The same might be said of her and Steve, in all fairness. Regardless, it’s nice to know that she’s not the only one who feels this way, who needs time. Chrissy and Eddie deserve a break before they go to school, if that’s what they decide to do. Robin thinks she does, too.
This is a fic about Steve, Robin, Eddie, and Chrissy taking some time to heal and build a life together. It's also a lot of me indulging my headcanons about them with very little plot going on.
This fic is on hiatus at the moment, which is to say, I'll be updating sporadically rather than on a weekly basis. It's not abandoned, but I've not really been active in Stranger Things spaces lately, and updates will likely be quite slow.
