    Matt felt his knees get weak and his stomach tighten. “It’s just for a few weeks, then the whole thing will blow over.”

    “Y’know, Frank was talking the other night.” Bucky ignored Matt’s previous statement, his voice so quiet that anyone passing might have thought the two men were standing silently, staring at each other. “He got to telling us about when you two first met, and how he apparently tied you to a chimney. Said you started begging to be let go right away. He thought it was funny. Clint thought it was fuckin’ hilarious. At first I wanted to punch him for treatin’ you like that, but then I got to thinkin’ about it and how good you must have looked, tied up and begging.”

    “Jesus, James.”

    Bucky licked his lips. “Then I kinda wanted to punch him for gettin’ to see you like that.”

    The world faded away. All he could see was the date.

    Time travel?

    No, couldn’t be. This place was less than 3 hours from New York. Even as a kid, he would have known that an entire city had suddenly ceased to exist.

    Peter was more than positive now that the portals led to an alternate universe. But were they also capable of time travel? He was in a city he’d never heard of before 12 years in the past.

    He knew this wasn’t his fault- the erasure had done it’s job and was still in tact. He knew that these portals were not created by magic, the clearly mechanical metal ring burning through his newly gained backpack. Peter knew that he had nothing to do with the rings creation.

    Knowing that didn’t stop the panic from seeping in.

    Or: Peter Parker finds himself stuck in another dimension in a city he's never heard of after being pushed through a portal while fighting Electro. The villain is one of many portal hopping villains that have been after him for the last 8 months. Once the villains continue to come after him in this new dimension, he must work with a local crime lord and vigilante to figure out how to go home.

    “Mr. Nelson, you are one of the best lawyers on staff, and I am seriously considering the pros and cons of a potential partnership here,” she told him, staring up at him without moving her face or hand. Somehow, the files continued to dig into the meat of his palm.

    “--but it turns out,” he valiantly carried on, “I am actually and suddenly extremely busy with the destruction Jessica will cause in approximately twenty minutes, which will have nothing to do with me or any favors or bribes or anything like that—” 

    (Someone brings Team Red's (and the Punisher's) loved ones back from the dead to torture them for information on their vigilantes. Hogarth coerces Foggy to handle the resulting legal fallout and he is both the worst and best person for the job.)

    Silence reigned for a brief moment. Peter and Wade both seemed shocked into silence. Slowly, Matt could hear both of their heartbeats rapidly begin to speed up.
    “Matt,” Peter said, terror evident in his tone, “You’re driving.”
    Matt ground his teeth. “Obviously.”
    “Matt,” Peter stressed, horror rising, “you’re blind!”
    Time seemed to slow down. Matt blinked. He blinked again. He felt the steering wheel underneath his hands and the pedals beneath his feet. He blinked three more times. “Shit.”

Ngl I once attempted to post an ATLA fic in ff.net, and it was terribly written, but the comment I got wasn't constructive it just made me quit the whole endeavour, so please be kind.

    (TMI but last session I made my psych crash out because toward the end she asked "and how did you cope with that?" and I said "I relapsed (w sh)" and she got so mad that we *wasted* the whole session on my English teacher and I still think my fear of teachers and strangers' opinion on me is more important so like whatever tf you say I will really take it to heart yk?)

What’s your dream vigilante blunt rotation?” Wade happily whispered, no longer crossing his arms and rather laying across the roof with his legs happily kicking back and forth behind him. Peter could practically feel the stare, and how the man was settled on his elbows with a grin. Could just feel it in his flexible spider-bones.

    “We’re literally busting drug smugglers right now, and you’re asking me which vigilante’s I would smoke weed with.”

    “Uh, Yeah. Just answer.”

      “You know what? That’s it. I’m divorcing you and I’m taking the kids. I can’t live like this.” Peter turned around away from the ex-mercenary, mock-hugging himself as if in a form of comfort. They were never married, nor had kids, but it was a favorite running joke. Sometimes it actually got them out of situations.

      One time, they had fought a little bit (all in good nature of course), and Peter said he was taking the kids mid fight with a bunch of dudes with guns. They had actually gotten distracted at Wade’s cries, enough so that they all almost looked at Wade in sympathy. Daredevil had managed to sneak past at the distraction, being able to get the crucial information they came for. It was all fun and games until as three of them seemed to comfort Wade’s very dramatic fake-crying in the corner that they all turned back to him and fired more relentlessly. The joke was funny, but not bullet-in-the-thigh funny. They didn’t even shoot at Wade! The one with immunity!

      “No, baby, please! You can’t do this to me! To us!”

      “You can’t keep begging me to stay. We fight too much, the kids can’t have that constantly. And.. I am in love with another.” The dramatic pause had even some of the criminals gasping, as Wade fell to his knees in utter fake
      devastation with a cry.

      “You can’t just leave, the kids also need constant parental figures! You promised we would stay together forever, and take care of them…”

      They took their roles very seriously. Peter held himself tighter, trying to convey inner turmoil and sadness the best he could. He heard Daredevil approaching whilst probably checking the thugs were still knocked out. The blind man could hear the calls of nearby New Yorkers reporting of sounds of gun shots because of course they would. They weren’t even too close, but apparently close enough that they were still being kept up in their apartments a distance away. At least Peter didn’t have to call the cops now.

      “He at least indulges in my interests, specifically with Pizza and the likes. He cares for me! You never do, always taking these long trips away!” He ducked his head, slightly shaking it and leaning away as Wade approached him from behind, the latter’s arms held out around him as if wanting a hug, but not sure if they could. You know, depressing scene where the husband totally pushes boundaries and doesn’t let the women collect her thoughts. Stereotypical straight plots were never his favorite.

      “Baby, you know I need to take these trips to keep the house!”

      “Yeah, and you totally need to bring your friendly secretary along with you all the time.” His arms tightened a little, trying to convey as much venom as he could into the ‘secretary’. Ah, those few nights of movies and learning how to act them out really paid off. Honestly, he sounded like a theatre kid.

      Peter could hear murmurs from the drug dealers about who’s side was right or wrong, which one they thought was better. He just barely caught himself so he didn’t snicker and break it. Matt finally was back inside, standing off to the side with a raised brow. He would probably make sure the man was okay when they could get closer, enhanced senses don’t allow self-sacrifice very well if you can smell the blood leaking even at a decent distance.

    Peter has been trying his best to live alone as Spiderman after Dr. Strange set things straight. But after picking up a couple odd jobs to pay rent, he finds himself in an all too familiar yet completely new situation. The multiverse is real- and it has come back to bite him. Custodial job gone wrong, Peter finds himself staring straight at a super collider, and the next thing he knows he is covered in mucky water to rival his mop bucket's.

    TLDR: Peter is thrown into an alternate dimension where he doesn't exist (Gotham in the DC universe). He continues his vigilante streak as Spiderman, makes some friends along the way, and maybe some more than friends.
