Summary

Ichiji Vinsmoke is an evil commander of Germa 66... in the alarmingly popular stage play for Sora, Warrior of the Sea (now exclusively showing at North Blue Resorts and Parks, located off Exit 25!). Though this really isn't what Ichiji saw himself doing at age 21, student loans stop for no man and really there are worse gigs than striking poses for screaming kids and getting his butt handed to him by his little brother every day (three times a day during summer vacation and holiday weekends). It helps that the park's mysterious new infirmary doctor isn't too hard on the eyes, and he seems more than willing to patch up Ichiji's suddenly accident prone ass.
Ichiji might be about 0 for 999 on stage, but this is one fight he doesn't plan on giving up so easily.

Ichiji, for the first time since their mother passed, reaches deep down to try and dredge up… some kind of emotion. As always, there’s nothing. Well, there’s irritation that Judge went and died while leaving a whole mess for Ichiji to clean up, but grief? Sorrow? Anger, even? There’s none of that, not that Ichiji would probably recognize it if he felt it.He glares at the pile of ashes on the table as if his lack of emotional response is its fault. In a way, he supposes it is.
‘Father is dead,’ he thinks. A statement of fact that barely makes a ripple in his psyche. His next thought is, ‘I should clean those ashes up before the wood stains.’

[Meanwhile on the Sunny] Sanji: I suddenly have the urge to kick something Right Now“-Tell me, Reiju… How long have I been a monster?” Notes: Reiju: You all should go outside, maybe you'll feel better Niji: [develops Haki without his consent] Yonji: [has a PTSD flashback] Ichiji: [has an existential crisis] Reiju: No, not like that Also hello and welcome to my belief that the Vinsmoke siblings don't have Haki because suppressing their emotions also suppressed the 'will' needed to use it, in this essay I will-“What do you want me to say, Ichiji?” Reiju finally asks, crossing her arms protectively in front of her. “You clearly seem to know what I think of you. It’s not a smug statement. Ichiji sounds just as hollow as Reiju feels. “It hurt you too,” Reiju says apologetically. Even if Ichiji isn’t showing it as much as his brothers, she can tell that something is wrong. “I’m-” “Don’t say sorry,” Ichiji says, “We should know these things.” Ichiji pauses before saying, “I hate him.” Reiju startles. “Judge?” “Who else?” Ichiji says, “I thought I wasn’t capable of such things, and yet I have no other word for the feelings I have right now. I want everything he was, everything he ever stood for, to burn.” “Because of what he did to our mother?” Reiju asks. “That,” Ichiji agrees, “The cloning. The way he saw us as nothing more than weapons at best. The way he nearly got us all killed with his pride and arrogance. The way everything in this entire damn kingdom seems to exist as an extension of his own ego.” Reiju blinks. “I understand the sentiment, but…I just didn’t expect it from you.” “I didn’t expect it from me either,” Ichiji says, “But here we are now.”-Is my shitty, shitty brother, Ichiji.” Ichiji tilts his head. “Welcome back, little brother.” Notes: Sanji: Yeah, my family is totally emotionless Yonji: [having a panic attack if anyone sneezes near him] Niji: [picking fights with everyone, including the chair he just bumped into] Ichiji: [currently burning all of their father's personal effects on the front lawn] Reiju: So there might have been some changes since you left-Sanji feeling strange about this whole situation, like he’d channeled Zoro and taken a wrong turn only to wind up somewhere where everything looks similar to what he’d expect, but just ever so slightly wrong.-Bink’s Sake? Of course! It’s a classic, you know!” Yonji bites his lip before saying. “My mother used to like that song.” “Ah,” -Notes: Zoro goes off in search of the training yard and somehow winds up on top of the snail's head between its eyestalks. He takes a nap there.-There’s nothing to worry about! In fact-!”“I’m going to kick you into the goddamn ocean, you piece of absolute-!”
“Are we interrupting something?” Both Niji and Sanji stiffen at the sound of Reiju’s voice.
“Oh my god, please kill me,” Sanji mutters, cringing with every fiber of his being as he sees the rest of his siblings approaching them.
“Are you giving him The Talk?” Ichiji asks, looking concerned. Fuck him and his superhuman hearing. “Sanji, you are twenty one, aren’t you?”
