For the past few months, Tommy has seen his family less and less. He knows they’re busy... Phil has to go to work early and stay late. Techno’s been busy with school and fencing practice. While Wilbur has been preoccupied with this band.
But that's okay, because Tommy loves his family, and his family loves him back.

For as long as he’s been aware of it, Dream has worn a mask. The world around him is too demanding, too hyper-focused on perceiving him as good-natured and happy, the perfect child, content with life and smiling and talking and open and kind.
So Dream wears a mask, keeps to himself, and hides the terrors that plague him in his mind. He doesn’t feel happy, he never feels much of anything, just loneliness and burden and resentment. Sometimes he wished he knew who he was, rather than what everyone wanted him to be.
But truthfully, he knows he doesn’t deserve that kind of grace.

He pushes the door closed and locks it with a quiet click before pulling off his pajama shirt to assess the damage. He has no real reason to- he feels perfectly safe even without the door locked -but old habits die hard. His eyes drift down to his spine and-
He froze.
Oh.
Correction: He had no reason to lock the door until he saw his back in the mirror.
There, shining defiantly in the reflective surface, is what could best be described as a stripe. The entire line of skin just over his spine is beet red, lumpy, and very irritated. Lines of something dark and sharp lurk just over the vertebrae between his shoulder blades, looking for all the world like spikes were going to surge up and break through the skin at any moment. Bright red dots have somehow managed to crop up overnight, surrounding the entire offending area and glinting dully in the warm light that fills the bathroom. It reminds him a lot of Wilbur’s scales.
Maybe because they were scales.
Why the fuck are there scales on his back.

The Egg is taking over the server. Dream is on the hunt for Tommy and will do anything to get to him, even kill Michael. Dream uses all the tools in his arsenal, from manipulation to murder to kidnapping to Enderwalkboo, all to capture the poor raccoon. Tommy knows he has to do something.
Hoping to end the conflict, he confronts the monster chasing him, only to face catastrophic failure from playing right into Dream's hands. In the face of this mistake, Tommy tries to make amends using an ancient secret, arming him with the will to topple the Eggpire. To protect his family from the fallout of his choice and the clutches of a homeless Teletubby, he hides Michael away. Once he’s sure the piglin is safe, he takes a final stand against the Egg.

Tommy is complacent in his life. He's got a job with people he trusts, a sort-of-brother, and enough money to manage on his own when they age out of the system. He's doing perfectly fine for himself, thank you very much, and he doesn't need the sort of family that this Phil guy keeps trying to offer him.

Tommy was walking along the sea shore, counting all the seashells he could see. He wanted to keep his mind off things, like Dream, his brother— Wilbur and Techno… After Dream revived Wilbur, Tommy became quite lonely. He wanted to see him but on the other hand.. He didn't.
He continued to count the shells he saw as he was suddenly pushed to the sandy-floor, ripping more of his shirt as he knew it was Dream there. Then a harsh kick was thrown to his side, he tried to see Dream, trying to find the result of his anger.
