Episodes 38 and 39 of School Bus Graveyard but rewritten in the style of James Joyce. “Hyperdense Intertextuality” is a group of methods put together in order to understand James Joyce’s novels, and his style of writing. Joyce uses intricate series’ of metaphors in order to create a multi-layered story beyond what is literally written. I, because I was heavily intrigued by Joyce’s short story “The Dead,” decided to replicate this style of writing for one of my favorite episodes/group of scenes in "School Bus Graveyard” by Red.
Alternative Summary: Ashlyn wakes up, the Monday after they got the jeep inside of the Graveyard, with a splitting headache, but she still forces herself to go to school, despite how uncomfortable leaving bed makes her feel. She sees Aiden on the bus with his cousin Ben, but something about him is different: he’s silent — unusually silent. Ashlyn, too, stays silent. Silence saves her from the headache of needing to talk to him.

Strawberry Crepe Cookie wasn't used to other people being around. They didn't know how to care about others, be nice, generally interact. They had only ever cared about themselves. As much as they liked the waffle bots, they weren't people. For the longest time they only had themselves to care about.
The concept of other people was foreign. Other people being… you know, people was even more foreign.
All that being said, they didn't belong in the Vanilla Kingdom. They never would.
