At the end of the all things, instead of being blinked from existence, the anomaly deposits Jayce and Viktor—naked as the day they were born—onto a pristine yet desolate landscape devoid of life.
There’s no food, nothing to cover up with, and the plant life is strange, but it’s only when day turns to night and the two face a sky filled with unfamiliar stars that it really sinks in that not only are they nowhere near Piltover, but they likely aren’t even on the same planet.
To make matters worse, Jayce’s leg aches and Viktor’s cough returns.
Luckily for them, the same blast that stranded them caused an energy spike large enough to catch the attention of a nearby Starfleet vessel.

Rimmer takes up the Ace mantle.
He hops from dimension to dimension and it's not easy, nothing ever is for him, but thankfully the Wildfire has a selection of recordings made by previous Aces that guide him through. But at some point he realises that a certain pocket of time and space is dragging up behind him. Undeniably, he can rely on some wise, albeit smug-gitty words left by his counterparts to figure out what's going on.
And even though everything seems to trace back to a certain someone, certainly there's a rational and coherent explanation for this?
But, once again, is anything ever this easy for Arnold J. Rimmer?

He goes to shake Deb’s hand first and her handshake is sturdy. “It’s good to see you, man,” she says, her smile is wide and sincere and Rimmer wants to smile just as wide and sincere right back at her but it’s as if something doesn’t let him.
“Likewise,” he tips his head a bit and then goes next to the guy by Lister’s side. “And you must be...?” he inquires politely, extending his hand to the man.
“Kristian Kochanski,” he goes to shake Rimmer’s hand back and Rimmer can’t help chuckling in surprise.

A little breath escaped Lister, like the anger deflating him like a balloon, before a hand migrated up and rubbed his eyes. “Arn-“ he tried, “you’re a moron, you know that?” His tone was affectionate. “I didn’t mean that, all right? I didn’t mean I wanted you because you had a body, I meant I could finally have you because of it.” Lister’s eyes hit the floor. “I jumped on you the second I could, man.” He mumbled.
“I…” Rimmer tried, but nothing came out. The best he could manage was: “oh.”

Lister sighed and sat down beside him, playing with his hands. “I was thinkin’,” he said, the words directed downwards. “I mean, there’s a million reasons why you might’ve legged it before I woke up, but...” He looked at Rimmer. “You’re scared that I was gonna either make fun of you, or tell you that I love you.”
