“What is it, my little sunshine?” Phainon asks, his smile lending its own light to the dimly lit bed chamber.
“Can you tell me a bedtime story?” Twin pairs of round eyes, their irises the colour of winter’s frozen ocean, are unbelievably warm and expectant as they look up onto Phainon from the bed.
Tonight, the royal daughter of King Mydeimos and Queen Phainon asks for a bedtime story.

“Kiss me.” He blurts out, dead serious.
Mydei completely stops in his tracks, eyes wide as dinner plates, shocked out of his sadness for a brief moment.
“What?”
Phainon smiles, a blush forming on his cheeks, but the dead look in his eyes remains. “You heard me, ‘Mydeimos’- kiss me.”
The king's whole face goes red, and Mydei can feel sweat pricking at his forehead, stress catching him in its cruel grip once more. He’s wanted this for a while now- but not like this.
Not when Phainon doesn’t even believe it’s real.

“Besides there’s a guy in this game that’s definitely your type.” That certainly caught Phainon’s attention, mainly due to the fact that he had no idea what Cyrene’s perception of ‘his type’ would be. He was ready to be offended as she started to flick through a dozen or so menus, humming when she shoved her phone into Phainon’s face.
Ah. Perhaps she had a point.

Mydei just nodded his head, blinking slowly, “I do,” he said slowly, glancing at Reaver, then at Polyxia, then at Castorice, asking them for help with his eyes. The twins just pretend they didn't see anything while Reaver just stares at him and then pointedly stares at Phainon before looking away, distracted by something. “I've been a fan of yours since your debut,” he admitted, moving his gaze back to Phainon who pouted, clearly unhappy by something.
Phainon gently grabbed Mydei by the chin and gently yet darkly said, “Your attention on me.” he smiled cutely but there's a gleam in his eyes that demands Mydei to put his attention and eyes on him and him alone, “Eyes on me,” he said calmly yet demandingly.

"Mydei!" Phainon yelps as he flips himself back upright, except it comes out as “Awoo!” instead.
This is humiliating. Mydei is the absolute last person he’d ever want to see him in this weak little body. Phainon skitters backwards, trying to stay out of reach even as Mydei approaches the table.
“Hey, watch—” Mydei grabs at him.
“Awoo?!” SPLASH!
Phainon is underwater. He flails his limbs, trying to figure out how to swim with this unfamiliar body. Something tightens around his rib cage, and he thrashes harder.
As Phainon is lifted from the water, he gasps for breath and starts coughing up the liquid he got in his throat, all while kicking his little legs trying to get some kind of foothold. He finds himself pressed against something solid and warm.
“Shh, shh. It’s okay. Don’t be scared.” Wait, who’s saying that? Mydei? Surely Mydei can’t speak with such a gentle voice… or, even if he could, he wouldn’t in this situation. And what happened to “scared” not existing in the Kremnoan language?!
Phainon gets turned into a chimera. It leads him to learning more about Mydei.

Thighs. It's the first thing that comes to his mind. Probably the last thing too, considering that he cannot form another coherent thought besides Mydei's thighs.
Okay, that's kind of a lie. Because Phainon's eyes flit to the reason that said thighs were exposed, and his brain breaks again.
Mydei loses a bet and is stuck in a girl's uniform for the day. Phainon finds himself as the unfortunate victim of Cipher's schemes.
His fixation on Mydei's thighs does not seem to be helping either.
