Until he overhears people talk about it, or sees people he knows being flirtatious, or reads posts online that reference it. So, really, he doesn’t forget about sex, because it’s everywhere.

    Written for a prompt in the "Gen and Aro Prompts (Any Fandom)" challenge collection. The prompt was called "Kindness Makes the World Go Round" by Udaberri. It read as follows:
    "Soulmates do not have to be lovers, even though some may be lovers. Soulmates can be friends or family. They can even be complete strangers.
    A soulmate is simply the person who will be in the best position to help when you need it most.
    (Any kind of Soulmate AU, any fandom, as long as it's gen!)"
    So immediately, I thought of orphan Midoriya Izuku panicking over the idea of soulmates and wondering if it was possible that his soulmate marks would lead him to having new dads. Feat: abusive orphanage staff (but only like one scene with a little bit of actual violence concerning it), UA showing Izuku he can have friends, and Izuku refusing to allow himself to be happy until it literally punches him in the face.

      Shouto froze too, feeling his own eyes widen in shock at the words that had come out of his mouth, at the fact that he had actually stood up, followed his father out of the room, and dashed after him all just to say… he’d do it? He would do it? Him. Shouto Todoroki. He would--

      Enji finally turned around and fixed Shouto with an expression so scathing, Shouto had to fight to keep his chin raised. “You’ll marry the Barbarian King.”

    Is it the life he envisioned for himself at fifteen? Not by a long shot, but he's content; he's done well for himself, considering his condition. However, when Serenity Hero: Shoto comes to the school to give talks on pro-heroes, old wounds open up—forgotten dreams of saving lives, just like All Might—and Izuku is reminded of what could've been, had he been born different.

    It's okay though, because Shoto teaches him that not all heroes have a quirk, and sometimes, heroes need saving too.

    Izuku thought that Todoroki wouldn’t be much different during sex. He didn’t cry when Izuku complimented him, he didn’t cry when Izuku said “I love you,” and he didn’t cry when he came- from the overwhelming sensation, or the overwhelming emotions.

    Izuku did. Izuku cried at just about anything, so it was no surprise that he cried when Todoroki asked him out, he cried during their first sixteen kisses, and even he cried whenever he fingered himself to completion in the dead of night, thinking about Todoroki’s fingers- or more- being inside of him instead of his own.

    He figured Todoroki would be quiet, and relatively unemotional during the act, and leave the crying and desperation to Izuku. He was wrong.
