      Literally the holy grail of all the fanfics I've ever read in my entire life. Read originally several years ago on an old account and has possessed me rent free in my head ever since. I mean literally possessed, like taken over many of my Galadriel headcanons and fundamentally altered me in a way I cannot explain in the English language. I think about this fic like once a week at LEAST and I first read it when it was newly finished.

      I realized I couldn't remember if I'd already bookmarked it or not so I'm rushing here to do it again just in case. I love this fic. Read it now. Read it again. You will remember it forever. This is the most lore respectful and perfect adaptation of Galadriel (both her strengths and flaws) in the history of humanity, I don't care, no one will ever convince me otherwise

    Summary

    This series is Faramir-centric, in an AU where Faramir is secretly the illegitimate son of Aragorn. In the course of writing the first main story about Faramir and Aragorn beginning to work together before they knew about this relationship (Beginnings & Endings), I rather got derailed into developing a bunch of other characters, which is where most of the stories come from. It is entirely my intention to return to finish Beginnings & Endings.

    Please note that, currently, many of the stories in the DH AU include spanking, or some element of corporal punishment, in at least one chapter. If you would rather read stories without spanking or corporal punishment, most of my DH AU stories are re-written to exclude all of that in the Desperate Hours Alternate Universe Gen Version, available here: https://archiveofourown.info/series/16409 under my SusanaR main pseudonym.

Outside this moment, the world raged on, uncaring of all it trampled, unbowing to all; nothing and no one could control it. In the morning, she would wake from her stupor and go back to pretending the walls of her life were not closing in on her, that she was not trapped in a small, dark room, running out of air, her throat raw from screams no one seemed to hear, not even her most beloved brother. But here, right now, Maglor was god.
