He glanced down at his hands, examining them carefully as they glowed faintly in the moonlight.

This fic is uncomfortable due to exploring the effects of abuse, having a bit of a bittersweet resolution (you'll see), depicting grooming, abuse, and psychological turmoil. This work tows the line between romanticizing abuse and showing what it really does. Tread with caution, this is classic dead dove minus violent abuse. Author is a survivor, I see none of myself in my Silco and some of myself in my Jinx. I've never posted a dead dove fic so I'm nervous, let me know what you guys think.
