Usually, it means the unwillingness to move forward. It can mean someone, a character, is holding themselves back, especially if the door is fixable.”
Will swallowed hard as he listened to Mike’s words. “Well, books aren’t real life.” He tried to defend himself, but really, it was faulty and he knew it.
“Yeah, but we all know life imitates art.”
Will listened closely, shifting his gaze from Mike’s eyes to the door that was still cracked. Was he holding himself back? Was the door that never shut more than just that? Mike had gone silent after a moment and Will moved from the door, back to staring at his deep brown eyes.
“Why are you holding yourself back, Will Byers?”

“I don’t have a boy problem!”
Jungwon pulled on his hair in frustration. Jungwon didn’t have a boy problem, he didn’t have a problem. It was a crush, a temporary one which would fade away in no time. It had to.
Jungwon’s body shook as he felt an impact on his shoulder, surprising him. He lifted his head to meet the intruder’s eyes—Jay’s eyes. “So,” Jay’s lips curved into a smirk. “A boy problem huh?”
“I finally get to say,” Jake drumrolled. “I knew this all along!”
“Knew what?” Sunghoon looked up from his plate of pasta.
Sunoo rolled his eyes. “He kissed him.”
“Who kissed whom?” Niki coughed on his soda.
Heeseung laughed, “I had such a hard time trying to keep that a secret.”
“Me too,” Jungwon smiled to himself. “Me too.”

Wilbur Soot strode to his campus with heavy feet, sleepiness weighing down his body like lead. He had stayed up until approximately 2 am to finish his essay, though he still had a small paragraph to finish up. Poems are sometimes a pain if you don’t have the right inspiration or motivation. Writer’s block, if you will.
That’s why he walked into his beloved coffee shop just a few blocks from his university at 8 am in the dead morning, rushing his essay just before his class starts at 10. Curse his former self for choosing a class that early in the morning.
The chime of the bronze bell on the glass door rang as he wearily swung it open, the smell of mild candles and faint coffee floating in the air.
The brunet walked towards the counter in the distance, fingers crossed to hope it wasn’t that person who was having the shift that day.
“Hey bitch boy!” Aw fuck.
“Good morning Tommy.” He sighed, facing the cheery blond teen. Bright baby blue eyes twinkled at the man, face crinkled into one of a huge grin.
Boy, oh boy, Wilbur wasn’t ready for the kid’s shenanigans that early in the morning today.
