And he does. The relief he feels at getting him out quickly leaves as he notices his son is falling to the ground. Collapsing in front of him. Again. He doesn't even have the strength to say anything to him.
Not until his son just jumps up, going to the woman he saved.
"Woah, woah."
"Hey, hey, hey." TK stumbles up to her, reaching for her hand. "Dad."
And Owen stops. He knows TK will be fine. He knows that he is hooked on the same drug that he is. Knows that he has turned his son into the same kind of addict he is. And Owen doesn't have any right to critique him on it, to call his son out for being willing to sacrifice himself for a random stranger.
Because after all, isn't Owen the one that taught TK how to do that?

Loud knocking and yells wake Orter up at 5am on the dot. He stares at the ceiling reconsidering the previous night’s decision of letting Dot and Lance stay over after a long day of intense training, which in turn turned into a night stay from Finn and Mash as well. Where did the last two come from? He doesn’t know, and at this point he is truly too tired to even question the kids.
He hears Dot knock again and call for his name, Finn’s scared whining coming right after as he tries to stop him. Orter can almost see the other two just standing at a distance watching, not doing anything to aid either of their friends.

A rap on the door had him jumping from his armchair, the hairs on his arms standing up in instinctive caution. Not fear – it wasn’t bad enough for that, but he could sense that whatever was on the other side of his door wasn’t quite right.
Wand drawn, he placed down his whiskey glass and stepped over towards the door. There was no evil or dark magic being cast – yet still, there was something out there. He cautiously opened the door – and came face to face with a familiar if terribly unwelcome smile and bright green eyes.
“Good evening, Professor. May I come in?” Potter asked, smiling.

Despite the way the man had been all but trapped in Poseidon’s domain, Athena’s precious ‘Warrior of the Mind’ had not yet run out of luck and Poseidon was suffering for it. The coward refused to extend proper mercy, didn’t stand like a hero, and now used trickery to run from an honorable death. False righteousness, not even finishing the job.
Yet Poseidon had chased him down, following him into the cave Odysseus’s ship had sailed into. Or, the cave he thought Odysseus’s ship had sailed into.
He wasn’t sure anymore. This was most certainly not Greece anymore.
