This Aziracrow fic set in a colony on an alien planet presents such a creative backdrop for the growth of their relationship. So happy the author agreed to join my Unusual Setting (Good Omens) collection.
The setting also provides an opportunity to explore what it would be like for Crowley to transfer from a space station to the stronger gravity of a planet. His adjustment feels completely medically accurate. So fascinating!
Throw in some intrigue about the possibly dodgy company they all work for and you’ve got the makings of a fantastic fic 👏🏻 Highly recommend 🤩⭐️
The author’s other fics Lunacy, Tribute, Echo, and Abyssal are also in this universe. They can be read in any order. Check them out too! The world building is intricate and rich so there are lots of stories to tell.

The incomparable Enderhuntress has started posting the story created for me for Fandom Trumps Hate 2025. It is amazing! 👏🏻🥹😭❤️🔥😏❤️🤩
Sparks fly from the moment Aziracrow meet, but they start out as rival professors forced together by the joint course they have to create. Will they move beyond the enmity to see how perfect they are for each other? (Come on, we know the answer to that!) 😉😆
One thing that sets this fic apart is the number of intense philosophical discussions Aziracrow have as they grow their relationship and pine. So many different topics, and all fully are realized debates. So fascinating! And the positions they take make so much sense for each. Enderhuntress knows so much about both the characters and the topics and it shows👏🏻
Enderhuntress was an absolute dream to work with 🥰 I’m so grateful we bonded so well and I felt encouraged to contribute a detailed prompt and extensive world-building, and then Enderhuntress took it and ran with it and made it a million times better than I ever could 🤩👏🏻
Combines some of my favorite tropes: Professor Aziracrow, Enemies to Lovers, Frenemies with Benefits, Bickerflirting, The Wall Slam (tm), The Good Omens Ensemble, Beardziraphale, Getting Together and Happy Ending.
All with just enough angst to make it interesting (I was literally crying at the climax 😭) and a long enough story to give the ideas time to breathe. It actually is way above the minimum length promised in the auction, so the story flows naturally. I’m so grateful Enderhuntress was so dedicated to this idea and decided to write more, making it the best fic it could possibly be.

Fandom Trumps Hate is a worthy organization that puts together a multi-fandom auction each year to raise money for charity. Our fic supports the Transgender Law Center, a trans-led nonprofit that fights for the rights of the trans community in America. They advocate for the self-determination of all people, in court and also through resources and information that they offer both online and in in-person groups across the country. I encourage you to check them out!
The story includes a transmasc Crowley, which I feel is an excellent nod to canon in a human AU. Thank you to Enderhuntress for doing so much research on the topic and lining up a transmasc beta to ensure we have authentic positive representation, which I feel is so important in this fandom especially. There is zero transphobia in this work. Mostly though, his transmasc identity is just a small part of the complicated character that is Professor Crowley, so it works beautifully 👏🏻😃

I’m not very familiar with the omegaverse, but I love this AU. I’ve read it over and over.
By using the animal analogue of Bowerbirds, it avoids the pitfalls of lack of consent you sometimes see. So the omegas choose, and the alphas woo them by a combination of song, dance, and clothing choices (plumage). The alphas also have a hindbrain urge to care for the omega during their heat, building on the bower concept.
So it adds up to a very omega-centric world. The rumored low status of omegas was one reason I’d avoided the genre. So I’m glad this was different.
Plus the author thought seriously about the physical logistics of a male omega (Aziracrow are both man-shaped beings.) It really is worthy of the David Attenborough documentary referenced in the title.
But all the detailed world building just provides a believable backdrop for the blossoming romance between omega Crowley and the unconventional but perfectly-matched alpha Aziraphale. Their characterization and their burgeoning relationship feel so true to canon that it is a joy to read.
Do yourself a favor and read this fic, especially if you are new to the omegaverse and want a positive option.

The best part of fics for me is diving into other communities, and I learned so much from this fic.
This takes place mostly in a nail salon, which I’ve never seen before for an Aziracrow fic.
It makes sense to me that the antiseptic nature of the place could bring up bad memories for Crowley. And the author conveys the overwhelm of an autistic episode and the need to communicate via sign language so well.
It really combines so many aspects in a coherent whole that flows so beautifully. Highly recommend.
The author might add more chapters (which would be lovely) but it works as a oneshot too.

I love this short fic showing Aziracrow in 1854. It is a missing scene that is canon compliant.
It has an open ending, which makes sense given where we are in their relationship. But other than that it is sweet fluff of the two of them 🥰
I love the asexual representation too. I really feel that makes sense for Aziracrow, especially pre-apocalypse.

Just recommended this in a chat on Bluesky where we got to talking about how Crowley’s wonder at creation in Before The Beginning makes him a natural astrophysics professor. They asked for recs and I immediately thought of this one.
Here’s what I said there:
“Oversharer Dr. Fell constantly goes on about his husband Anthony. Students don’t know it’s taciturn Dr. AJ Crowley, who wears his wedding ring around his neck on a chain under his shirt. Students catch them making out and think Crowley is taking beloved Professor Fell away from his husband, not knowing he IS his husband. Pepper and Adam are TAs who don’t know whether to clear up the misunderstanding or see how long they can keep it going 😂”
Now that I’ve reminded myself of this one I’ve got to read it again. So funny but deeply romantic too. Their connection shines through in every universe 🥰
I like the relationship they both have with their respective TAs too, particularly Adam’s with Crowley. Adam is protective of the prickly professor partly because can see the softie beneath, particularly when in comes to his beloved husband Aziraphale.
Now I definitely have to read it again right now 😃

Another popular one in case you missed it.
This is Good Omens human AU with the “Fake Relationship While Secretly In Love” trope that I can’t get enough of, done in a fresh new way.
I starts right in the middle of the action and doesn’t let go. I read (and reread) it a while ago, and when I went back to refresh my memory I accidentally read three chapters before I even realized it. It really is that good.
I also like that Crowley is ace. That aspect is partly what sets the trope in motion. It was neat to see how his particular flavor of ace wove through the story.
The dialogue is brilliant too. Distinct for each, without going so far it becomes parody.
The author also makes good use of the Discord work skin. Gives it an authentic feel.
The way this story examines the tension when a parasocial relationship becomes real (partly because Aziraphale tamps down his natural gushing reactions) is fascinating.
Blends characters from season one (Anathema and Newt) with characters from season two (Maggie and Nina) in such a natural way that I hope we see something like that in season three.
Don’t miss this fic from one of the best authors this fandom has ever had.

Part fairy tale, part fantasy, all love story. There’s magic, and grand romantic gestures, and Heroes and a handsome Prince, and a Villain. There are even some wild heroics, though not necessarily from who you would expect. At its core it’s simply about two (relatively) sane people living in a mad world who find each other.

I’m going to add bookmarks to some of the big ones just in case you missed them. Some excellent stories to start the new year.
This is a gorgeous rich fairytale AU, with Crowley as a sorcerer from the south lands and Aziraphale as a prince from the north. Their people are hereditary enemies since the Great War and they meet at the wall in between their realms.
So it harkens back to canon while also spinning a new complete world, as all the best fics do. Each bright new detail adds to the lush atmosphere of the fairytale as we journey through the slowest of slow burns in all its agonizing glory.
Reread it and there were two things I especially liked. One was that it happens over about a year, and I loved how the author showed the change of seasons playing out across the forest. Second was that there were several aspects that were revealed later but were woven through the text so well from the beginning, so like every brilliant fic there was more to appreciate the second time through.
Though of course what it all comes down to is Azicrow’s deep connection. The joy of recognition and agony of separation are shown so heartbreakingly well in this one. And they both grow so much over the course of the story, as they do in all my favorite fics.
It is creative and romantic with an amazing dramatic climax and a sweet hopeful epilogue. Such fun to read, with beautiful chapter art too. What more could you want?

I will read every “Ineffable Husbands in a Fake Relationship” human AU fic I can get my hands on, but this one grabbed me from the first moment and would not let go.
It is incredible. Hilarious, romantic, sexy, exciting, heartwarming, gripping - just the complete package.
The author has such an intuitive sense of these characters. They are having so much fun so we as the reader do as well. The references to both seasons one and two work so well in this new story. The original characters were just as fascinating as those we know and love.
Just an incredible artistic gift to the fandom. Thank you, Caedmon!

Merry Christmas, everybody! 🎄✨
In the Christmas season I love to go back and reread all my favorite Christmas fics to get in the spirit and I had to do this one first.
I love the romantic ace fics 🥰 That really does fit canon best. And this has the “Fake Relationship While Secretly In Love” trope that is one of my absolute favorites. And it flows so naturally from the story here too.
I love too that they have a deep connection from the first moment. I don’t believe they fall in love at first sight in canon, but I do like when something clicks right away. That is canon for me and it is portrayed so well here. And then it grows from there so sweetly.
Get ready for Christmas with this romantic tale that even includes the classic snow on Christmas Day ❄️🎄🥰

I keep coming back to this Good Omens human AU again and again. Perfect for when I just need something to brighten my day.
Captures that sudden instant recognition that this person is “the one” so well. The dialogue flows naturally and the way Aziracrow interact feels so real. And I love my Crowley to have a little feminine flair and the Mesopotamian hair, so this version really works for me.
Plus there’s hot smut that’s full of emotion and has the little moments of nerves that make it so believable.
From one of my favorite authors who brings the goods once again.
EDIT: It was a oneshot but the author is currently adding more chapters! Yay!
EDIT 2: Story is now complete at three chapters. Very satisfying emotionally and ended at a proper place in the plot. Very well-done.
Brilliant, polished, and rewarding story.

This Good Omens story so far is only one chapter focusing on Crowley’s reaction after The Ineffable Divorce. It is written by a new fanfic writer and is excellent. I really want to encourage them to write more because I definitely want to know what happens next.
EDIT: Now there are two chapters! Really love the expansion of Crowley’s experience. “Showing not telling” the devastation. And it brings in some mystery about his dream, and shows more about his relationship with Muriel. I can’t wait to see where we go next!
