A shadow immediately darted down from the stairwell, stiff as a rod and freezing into place just behind the women when he caught sight of Phil.
He was young. Younger than Phil expected, honestly. He looked to be about eleven or twelve at most, with bright bubblegum pink hair and dark brown eyes that stared wide at him from behind square, golden-framed glasses. His skin had a healthy flush to it, though Phil caught sight of bruises half-hidden beneath layers of makeup and a white, long-sleeve shirt and black pants.
The poor kid looked terrified. Phil's heart squeezed, and he was suddenly, painfully aware of the exact reason he'd agreed to come here.

The world had ended, or so it felt. A disease wiped out most edible plants on Earth, resulting in mass starvation and a majority of the planet dying off. The media had deemed it an apocalypse but now, with little to no electronics available, everyone was on their own.
Tommy, however, had made it quite far and was currently trying to navigate the end of the world with his friends by his side. However, learning to trust again had been hard. All he wanted was to stop fighting finally and be allowed to be a kid again. After all, he was only 17.

“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).
