The hot heavy warmth of the sun had scorched Dick Grayson when he took his ill-fated journey across the desert months ago. Now, desperate to feel cold again, desperate to come back to some sense of identity after Spyral, Dick casts away Nightwing, before his bloody hands can taint it.With the support of Apollo and Midnighter, a burgeoning relationship helps support Dick as he revamps an old part of himself, hoping to find himself amongst uncertainty.
Jason Todd knows something has gone wrong with Dick Grayson after his return. Something more wrong than already suspected. Tensions high in the family, he's determined to find out what's going on with Dick, and this time he won't let him go so easily.

The scenes are so realistic - the conversations feel real and subtle, with none of the overdramatacised emotions you see everywhere on Ao3, and everything flows very well. There aren't any big upheavals, but this only adds to the realism. I am very upset this seems to be dropped.

Dick and Tiger needed a place to hide out, and while Tiger might not trust Midnighter, Dick knows there's almost nowhere safer than with a pair of superpowered metas who don't mind getting their hands dirty.
