Out of the corner of his eye, Gareth can see that Wayne is watching their standoff with a calculating expression.
“We’re airing this out and moving on. And we are going to do it before Eddie gets home.” Harrington states with a finality that sets Gareth’s teeth grinding. As if Steve is the one who’s more concerned about their friend’s feelings than Gareth is at this point.Or
Gareth has had just about enough of Steve Harrington in the fall of '86. He sets about to do something about it. It takes an angry mob, a Corroded Coffin gig and a baseball bat full of nails for him to change his mind.
Gareth gets mad, Eddie gets beat up, Steve gets violent and Wayne is just really tired of everyone's shit.

After defeating Vecna, The Byers temporarily move to Hawkins to support Hopper, who has lost the use of his legs in the battle. Mileven is now reunited and Will now has to witness it all, since he now hangs out with Mike and his new friends most of the time. One of these friends is Gareth, and after noticing Will's crush on Mike, he offers his help to make Mike jealous. His plan is simple, faking a relationship until Mike realizes what he was losing. Eddie had ‘Fuel’ by Metallica blasting loud enough to disturb a quiet neighborhood while he sped down a main street. Recklessly, yet skillfully, he swerved between cars, going well above the speed limit. He was drumming on the steering wheel of a black 1970s Pantera in tune with the music. The chorus of the song came in and Eddie shouted along with it. “Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desi—” he choked on the last word and nearly slammed on his breaks. For half a second, he saw the nicest ass he’d ever laid eyes on, scantily clad in torn denim. Without a second thought, he turned the car around and drove the wrong way down the road in order to pull into a gas station beside, what he now could see, was a repair shop.
