The Champion is Ravens is tending to duties at the Raven's Crest in Vasselheim, when a gift is left for him. A bundle of flowers, on the doorstep. High Warden Lieve'tel takes one look and tells Vax'ildan that these flowers are not a gift, but a warning. And in the middle of the bouquet is a dead raven, and blood-spattered snowdrops and forget-me-nots... the flowers from his wedding to the Lord of Whitestone... the flowers are a threat against him, and his husband, Percival. Vax rushes to return home with great haste, but there is no quick way back from Vasselheim. He must journey elsewhere to reach someone who has the magic to get him there quickly. But everywhere he goes, these flowers are appearing... Even in places that should be safe... in the hands of friends that he trusts. The panic ever building, he finally reaches Whitestone, terrified of what he will find when gets there. All he can see in his minds' eye are visions of blood-spattered forget-me-nots, and his husband, dead on the floor...
