Hylia thought it was a good idea to put all of the Chain in Breath of the Wild. Demise countered that by putting the incarnations of his hatred there as well. What neither of them knew was they where sending the Chain to insanity and the incarnations to certain death. Why? Because Wild is a little shit with memory and morality issues.

Choice.
Link never had a choice in whether or not he fought for his kingdom, in whether or not he became Hylia's chosen hero. Zelda never had a choice in whether or not she inherited Hylia's blood, and sealing powers that make her be hunted by forces of darkness. They didn't choose for portals to take them from their homes, and send them through time to fight and stop reincarnated forces of evil from their pasts. But... in time, they do choose to care about their brothers and sisters, forced, like them, into the curse that is the root of each of their sufferings.
They fight, the Links and the Zeldas, with every ounce of strength that they possess to stop what they think is just their villain's latest scheme to spread destruction and violence throughout Hyrule. But when they learn of their villain's true intent to change history, and free the Links and Zeldas from the curse that has brought them so much pain, for once... they get to choose their own fate.
Or, a beginning to end Linked Universe quest where the Links and Zeldas travel through time as their own separate groups, working together to stop their greatest foes reincarnated, who are also working together, to change the history of Hyrule.

Wind couldn't help his fascination with the other heroes Hyrule's, he didn't have one of his own after all. While Sky may be in the same boat as Wind in that regard, he had a vastly different problem than Sky did regarding Hyrule and its existence. Wind KNEW what Hyrule could look like, he had seen the fallen kingdom get flooded. So, he mmaayyyy have gotten an interest in seeing other versions of the very small part of Hyrule he HAD seen on the ocean floor. So what? He was curious! The other didn't get it though!
