Like, it wasn't just him trying to toughen the nerd up. He sometimes came to class with more bruises than when he left, and how Izuku never really ate.
After learning how some people are treated in a quirk-based society and how little anyone is willing to help. Katsuki makes it his mission to save his first and only friend.

stopped at chapter 37 bc that was the last updated one since 11/2024. this fic was getting good; not worth a reread but i feel like they just set the stage a few chapters ago so I'm disappointed that theres not more out; bakudeku but they’re not romantically involved yet they are just out there surviving; deku as an underground boss analyst and baku as a hero student moonlighting as his bodyguard; but its great bc theres a lot of internal dialouge and exploration for baku which never happens; most of it is from his pov actually; i like this one! hope it comes out w more
