Anakin didn’t quite recall the battle that had led him here. He remembered blaster fire, shouting orders, trying to predict the Separatists’ move before it was done. The feeling of victory.
Then- fire. The sensation of flying, falling. Then nothing at all, until he woke in darkness.
And approximately forty Tatooine days later, he was still in the dark, still in chains, still without the Force.
Anakin is lost in battle and presumed dead, until Obi-Wan and the clones find him at a slave auction. They do not react well.

Summary
As far as the rest of the GAR knows, the 212th is on Mandalore for a resupply, but Commander Cody knows far more about the true reason for Obi-Wan's visit to the planet than anyone would assume -- partially because the Jedi planned to have dinner with Satine and needed a babysitter for a certain little boy whose blue eyes match his own. The Jedi's secret family forces Cody to think of other things, though, like the future he doesn't want to consider, the family he knows he can never have.

Korkie lunged after the elusive ray of light with all the coordinated grace of a sixteen-month-old, which was to say, none. He babbled nonsense as the shiny object that reflected said light was turned again, sending the beam just out of reach, and started giggling to himself as he crawled after it.
“I hate to tell you this, ad’ika,” Cody chuckled. “But even if you catch up to it, you can’t grab it.”
Korkie just murmured some kind of gibberish under his breath and ignored him.

“Are you sure we have the time?” Satine’s pale, fine features pinched minutely in concern, and she tugged just slightly on the hand that was holding hers to see how easily it would let go of her fingers. It didn’t. “I’m expected to meet with the senators at seven –”
“Which leaves us plenty of time to enjoy a meal together and have a quiet, not-political conversation.” Obi-Wan tugged her along the winding hallway until they came to the correct door, then pulled her inside with a playful grin as soon as it hissed open.
Satine rolled her eyes, but an amused smile played on her lips as she followed the Jedi, weaving through the rest of her living space to get to the dining room.

The fire crackled timidly as the jedi tended to it while sitting on two seperate logs. "Adora..." An older jedi began. Their surroundings, the fields of Utapau were all quiet except for the nearby crickets. "Dwelling on what has happened on Etheria won't mend the wounds, nor will it bring them back..."
The fire grew cold and the crickets' music died down. A pair of blue eyes stared into the flames, countless images coming to life through it. "I miss them, okay? I miss every one of them, and I hate the fact that I have failed them..." Her voice died down as she felt wires in her throat. She didn't dare look her master in the eyes. "Is that what you wanted me to say?"

Obi-Wan finds himself in possession of a Sith holocron and brings it to the High Jedi Council for careful storage. Not long after, delusion overtakes him, provoking memories smouldered by fear to incriminate every person that crosses his line of sight.
After successful containment of Obi-Wan, the Council decides to interrogate the Jedi Master in order to figure out what prompted these circumstances.
Only not a single Jedi has been able to Communicate with him without causing an outburst.

Summary
Forces beyond Anakin Skywalker's understanding lead him into Tatooine's desert during a sandstorm, where he saves the life of Darth Maul, who has been broken and left for dead. The Sith apprentice vows to take revenge on the ones who betrayed him and after discovering the potential of the boy who saved him, begins to weave a plan to lure Anakin to the dark side and take him as an apprentice of his own. But things may not go according to plan, as Anakin meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has also found himself on Tatooine after narrowly surviving an attack by an unknown enemy. Anakin hopes the Jedi will save him from his life of slavery but it may not be so easy. Neither of these people is what Anakin expected and as both Jedi and Sith unknowingly battle each other for the future of a slave who has the power to change everything, Anakin must decide what he is willing to sacrifice for the future he's always wanted.
