When Deckard had stood on trembling legs, hunched over and brandishing a knife, Vi had to admit that she felt a sliver of admiration for his determination. Determination that would get him nowhere, of course; He may have had a weapon but he was exhausted and bruised already, she knew he couldn't take much more.
She was so sure he wouldn't use that knife that she stalked right back up to him and got in his face. Her brothers stayed behind, several feet away. But Deckard was alone, his little friends scattered or knocked out. He was alone, and even with a knife he would be quickly overpowered. So she found herself leaning in close, crouched down so she was almost eye-level with him. "Wanna see how that ends?" She nods towards the knife. Her voice is flat, tone bemused.
She did not expect Deckard to actually plunge the knife into her side.
