Summary
Scott is a Cupid protecting a village. He’s really lonely and nobody likes him, but he’s always been searching for love. Cupids aren’t allowed to use their magic for themselves though, it’s wrong. Scott knows this.
Joel is a creature of the Nether (Soul Sand Valley specifically), no interaction with him is anything less than a fight or a murder. But this time when he arrives in the village for an easy kill, he gets shot by a Cupid and experiences love for the first time.
Scott was supposed to slay the nether monster. Love arrows are only to be used that way in self defense. But this is the first time Scott’s ever experienced someone liking him. He doesn’t know what to do anymore.

I was literally falling in and out of consciousness imagining this au lmao their meeting is the only aspect that hasn’t changed significantly. The premise is mostly the same tho: Scott’s stupid impulsive decision to break the law results in Joel literally being stuck in a matter of Love or Death.

Summary
If Scar could write the lyrics, he’d sing this version of the story— how he saved the girl, the town, the day. It was the stuff they made movies about, the ones Scar watched as a kid and puffed up his chest in the mirror afterwards, waiting (not hoping) for the time it’d be his turn on the opposite end of the screen.
A silly dream, in hindsight. One Scar could live vicariously through the sputtering radio, the distorted voice of a stranger lamenting their worst day into the black void that was the air space.

Then, he saw the Hot Guy photos. Now, out of all the popular, hot fictional characters, Grian definitely thought that Hot Guy was, well, the hottest. And – gods help him – this man looked exactly like him, practically straight out of the comics. He had a devilishly charming smile on his tanned face. His hair was pulled back into a small low ponytail. The skin-tight suit showed off the curve of his waist and the large muscles on his biceps. Grian felt his entire face heating up. It probably looked the same color as his wings, and Pearl seemed to notice. “Oh my, someone has the hots for Hot Guy.” She winked and Grian turned his face away, crossing his arms. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Or Cosplayers Scar and Grian going to the same convention as Hot Guy and Cute Guy, and they both want to win the cosplay competition. What will the do?

Grian breathes the floral air in slowly, standing ever so still to feel his honey and green feathers ruffle back and forth. His heart still beats loudly in his ears, ringing with echoes of thunder and blinding light, feeling phantom pains of swords and axes slicing through his skin.
He's just waiting now, for the inevitable. Waiting for him to show up.

“So, can I finally know the reason for this impromptu marathon?”
There’s nervous anticipation buzzing inside him now, and Grian has to swallow before he speaks, mouth dry all of a sudden.
“Feed on me,” he says, and everything gets very quiet. His throat clicks as he opens his mouth again, but he finds he has nothing else to say, so he just sits back, arms braced on the bed, and looks at Scar.
Scar blinks at him.
“Sorry?” Scar sounds so baffled that Grian can’t help laughing. “Grian, you’re not—”
“Now I know you’re not about to tell me what I can and can’t do, Mr. Goodtimes,” Grian says. “And if you’re about to rattle off some bullshit about me getting hurt, we both know I can beat you in a fair fight, don’t we?”
Scar’s eyes glint in the dark.
“Come on,” Grian coaxes. His wings spread out behind him without his saying, and he can feel himself flush, embarrassed. Not that Scar seems to notice the blatant presentation, but still. “I wanna help you out. You’ll have a more clear mind, and then we can find a solution together, hm?”
Scar hesitates, arms crossed, but his resolve is clearly thinning. Grian smiles, wicked.
“You always get your way, don’t you,” Scar mutters.

Summary
This is a compilation of all the pieces that take place within my Over-City/Under-City AU, which is also a Hot Guy/Cute Guy Superhero AU, though that's not the only thing that'll be going on! I plan to keep this series in chronological order, so I'll put all the pieces where they'd fall along the timeline, which may sometimes not line up with the publishing date. The exception to this is 'Pretty Boy' which, IF someone does want to read the whole series in order, I'd want them to have read that one first and then all the rest, so 'Pretty Boy' will always be the first fic in the line-up, but after that you could read chronologically or just bounce around as you please! I've written all of these to mostly stand-alone, so you shouldn't be too terribly confused no matter where you decide to start up!

Grian reached a hand back to straighten his feathers and soothe his back, but was met with only the fabric of his sweater. No feathers at all. He stood instantly, making eye-contact with himself in a mirror he didn’t remember putting there, and gawked at his own appearance. He was wingless, undeniably, which was freaky enough as is, but he’d also seemingly had a whole wardrobe makeover. He was in these nice, almost fake looking matching pajamas, and his hair was weirdly perfect for him having just been asleep. And now that he was looking at the out of place mirror, it occurred to him that his entire room was completely different. It was modern, and artificially cozy, and not at all like how he’d decorate a room.
